Former (reformed?) Christian youth minister, professional OTR trucker.
Back in the 90's, I became a youth minister and started my journey to becoming a full minister. After changing church organizations 4 times due to uncovered scandals, I decided it was time to find my own path.
After reading an article on Jediism in 2018, I began to explore the possibility that self improvement does not have to rely on a Deity to work. I studied, contemplated and meditated on Jediism for years, then in November of 2023, I formally adopted the title of Jedi Knight.
I've been looking for a place to learn to expand my understanding of the Force for over two years, and I'd like for that place to be here.
Greetings, my name is Peter Schow, Jedi of the Force. I have been studying the Force as the natural energy of the universe around us for nearly 20 years now. I have had a number of events some may consider supernatural happen to me in my life. I started to consider why these things have happened and what that means to my life.
I grew up in Highland, Utah from where I joined the Army in 1996. I served 17 years being retired in 2014. I served in the war torn countries of Bosnia, Kosovo, and Iraq. I started questioning myself and what I was observing in the world and that I was dealing with myself. This led me to consider how I could be more connected with everything.
Around 2006 I started considering living my life like the Jedi from Star Wars. In 2011 I started searching for others who also might also have this mindset. I was pleased to find many others had taken on the mantel of Jedi.
Then Je'Daii Order of Dai Bendu is a safe place for all people looking to live a good life, supporting themselves and others regardless of who they choose to be for themselves. Jedi do not harbor bias toward others. Jedi maintain an open mind, welcoming of other, whether they are like minded or very different.
I hope you will take the time to tell us a bit about yourself and with an open mind, enjoy the introductions others give her and with all our differences find how alike we really are.
